Thank you for a great rehearsal last Monday. Despite not being together for so long, the focus and energy was at an all time high. The NH bands continue to redefine themselves - awesome! Remember to have your forms in on Monday, which are now on the website incase you misplaced them. Our music must be memorized better than ever so we can get back into marching shape! We are very excited to be perform for the audiences on Main Street and all of our NH family and friends who are traveling down. Thank you for supporting our students in this venture together. Enjoy more pictures from our last trip to Orlando (the week of the 2010 blizzard when Pgh got around 3 feet and we were out of school for a week!). Important dates start on Monday with our Turn-In Day and Uniform check. Here is to a great month and a great time representing NH together in Orlando!
Monday, April 14th, 6 – 8 PM Monday, April 21st, 6 – 8 PM (changed from Tuesday, April 15th, 6 – 8 PM) This change allows us to: -Leave our luggage/uniform that night instead of bringing them to school the next day -Turn in medications to our nurses -Rehearse 1 day, instead of 1 week, before leaving
It was great to see so many people having a great time together at this year's Funny Fundraiser. If you couldn't catch it this year, we will see you in 2015! Join us in hosting two great bands on Tuesday night for the 2nd Annual Band Invitational. Our friends from the Bethel Park High School Symphonic Band and Hampton High School Wind Ensemble join the North Hills Wind Ensemble in sharing a night of music making. The concert begin at 7:30 PM in the Middle School Auditorium. See you there!
The funniest night of the year. Get a table for your friends and enjoy some great comedy with our headliners. The ticket includes drinks, snacks and lots of for a fun time. E-mail for ticket reservations now! Our next is event is upon us already. Please join us for this exciting concert celebrating Music In Our Schools Month and featuring all of our hilltop bands including the marching band. The theme from our National Association for Music Education is "Music Makes Me__________!" Students: remember that we rehearse P5 on Tuesday and to bring your uniform to the cafe as you arrive on Tuesday night. Drumline will practice the entrance at 6:15 and Wind Ensemble will sound check at 6:30. As each group finishes, the students can report to the cafe to change into their marching band uniform. See everyone there! Mardi Gras 2014 was a fabulous night for our North Hills community!
Congratulations to our Middle School Jazz Band and both of our High School Jazz Bands for sharing so much great music. It was wonderful to see so many students from other parts of the program there to support our jazz students and have a great time. Thank you so much to our committee chairs, the NHIPA and everyone who made this possible for our students, program and community! See you in 2015! |
