The Majorettes have been busy in the offseason! In addition to playing their instruments in class, the girls have been to visit the University of Pittsburgh Majorettes twice and this weekend volunteered at the Woodlands, a non-profit dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with disability and chronic illness. Awesome girls! With deepest sorrow and great sympathy to all who love her, we share the passing this evening of Areta Kalogeras, “Ms. K”, our retired North Hills Band and Orchestra Director. Words cannot begin to express the impact that she had on those blessed enough to know her. God bless her and all those who love her dearly. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of former elementary orchestra director, Erin Hutter. Our thoughts are with all those who love her and will miss her.

In the last five years, North Hills Band have been invited to perform twice at the PMEA State Convention and now twice at the All-Eastern Convention. Congratulations to our students, district and community!
With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of "Mr. D." Jason Dilliot who passed unexpectedly the day that his Northgate High School Marching Band was scheduled to leave for Kon-O-Kwee for their annual Band Camp. Jason was a vibrant man with a tremendous passion for teaching, for band, and for shaping the lives of young people. The Northgate Band was an annual participant in our band festival and Jason was a friend to us all. He will be missed greatly by many. Please keep all who loved him, and especially his wife Michele and children Jacob and Sarah, in your thoughts and prayers.
